Honolulu is a place you can make as busy or as relaxing as you want. Ample food options, beautiful beaches and incredible sunsets to ensure with friends and family. Shopping and discovering both the history and the culture of the area make for a well-rounded destination no matter your interests. Worth while exploring the island too if you have the chance. There are plenty of day tours available that take in some incredible sites up the east coast of the island and around the north shore. Honolulu is a big-ish city, it has a big mall, lots of tall buildings, government buildings, homeless people, etc... If you are looking for a slower more relaxed vacation with fewer people and buildings, look at the other islands, or at least don't stay in Honolulu/Waikiki. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, our room was cleaned nicely during room service. One bedroom apartment was really spacious and has a full kitchen so you can cook. Location is great it’s on the quieter side of Waikiki I guess, there is a car rental next door so it was really handy. Parking was $25 for 24 hours which was cheaper than other hotels I think.
